Professional Profile
I am a photographer based in Wellington, New Zealand. In 1996 I formed my photography business, Belinda Brown Photography Ltd. My main area of work is in Weddings, Portraiture and Documentary. As I love to travel I encourage work nationwide and offer my travel free anywhere in mainland New Zealand.
An adventurer by nature, photography has gifted me a visual diary of many journeys in exotic and challenging locations and many in my own backyard. All provide the opportunity for self reflection, validation, humour and the challenge to interact with people, to learn from them and their cultures, contribute to their lives and to share my gift of photography.
I have attended various courses in photography at Wellington Polytechnic and Inverlochy House, and weekend workshops with both nationally and internationally respected Photographers. I am mostly self taught from many years of travelling.
Over the last eighteen years I have created an extensive body of work that reflects my diverse experience and expertise in many facets of photography. My passion for this medium is ignited by my drive for truth in imagery, a clarity of vision, and the ongoing interest I have for people, cultures, travel and social documentary.
